The Watson Twins
Your past full of land mines I can't see
I can't disengage this heart
in war time we been troubled from the start
And in the morning
When the smoke cleared there was light
Your white flag raised up high
Come back to my arms honey child
How am I to be
With all your silly ways now
How am I to be
With all your silly ways
Now
IN THIS MOMENT
One always hears the same old adage growing up that you should “believe in your dreams, because dreams really do come true.” Well, this statement perfectly defines the life of IN THIS MOMENT’s frontwoman, Maria Brink, who always believed that she would become a rock star, and overcome all of the obstacles that stood in her way while having to escape an overall non-positive environment.
Brink, an Albany, NY native, refused to let any of this deter her from achieving her lifelong goal and soon embarked for Los Angeles to begin her musical career. After a number of odd jobs and failed creative partnerships her life soon took a sudden turn upon meeting guitarist Chris Howorth in 2005, as the two immediately realized that they had something special together. This union would soon be rounded out by Jeff Fabb (drums), Blake Bunzel (guitars) and Jesse Landry (bass) to form IN THIS MOMENT, who just three years later performed to a sold-out crowd at the renowned Madison Square Garden opening for Ozzy Osbourne, ultimately proving dreams do come true.
Now the group are poised to take their already stellar career to soaring new heights with their aptly titled sophomore release,
The Dream, which is a dynamic, hard rock opus that proves the band has matured well beyond their years. The much
anticipated offering was produced by the acclaimed Kevin Churko (Ozzy Osbourne) and showcases the band’s songwriting
prowess and Brink’s beautiful, angelic voice that is simply captivating.

Featuring: Termanology
Growing up in the streets of the post-industrial, predominantly Latino city of Lawrence, MA, Termanology, transitioned from silly freestyles at age nine to full-fledged records by 15. Constantly traveling between Boston and New York to pursue his music business dream, he released his first 12-inch in 2002. Through his alliance with influential mixtape DJ (and fellow Massachusetts native) Statik Selektah, Term began earning the respect of Boston's hip-hop scene with several highly acclaimed 12" singles.
At the onset of 2006, Term caught his big break when legendary producer DJ Premier, whom he met three years earlier, finally blessed him with one of his signature, scratch-laden beats. "Watch How It Go Down" instantly became an underground classic and Termanology appeared on hip-hop's international radar. The conscious hood anthem garnered the earnest MC tons of praise, landing him in The Source's "Unsigned Hype" and XXL's "Show and Prove" columns.
Since then, Termanology has quickly climbed the industry ranks with his Hood Politics mixtape series and continued collaborations. His debut album, Politics As Usual, is building up to be one of the most anticipated underground hip-hop
releases of 2008 featuring DJ Premier, Hi-Tek, Pete Rock, Large Professor, and many others.
KOUSHIK Koushik specializes in making that hazy, hip-hop-based downbeat sh*t that you could easily compare to contemporaries such as Four Tet (who released Koushik's first single on his Text label), RJD2, and DJ Shadow. What sets Koushik apart from the others is a beautiful '60s psych-pop element that tends to pervade throughout. It shows itself in the spacious panned strings, acoustic guitars, and harpsichords that fall in and out of each other; and the beats have a harder regimented classic true school hip-hop sound, that Fourtet and Prefuse tend to stray away from. But what I truly love about this record is Koushik's voice. His singing is soft and mixed way down in the center of the track, sounding like the voice choirs you'd hear on one of those old Percy Faith or 101 Guitars from the late-'60s. If you're a fan of any of the aforementioned artists, you need this record. – OTHER MUSIC, NYC
